This week on Community Matters we talk about the “culture” of litter and how a little encouragement can go a long to becoming litter-free.

From Wake County’s Environmental Services and Solid Waste department, we have Bianca Howard, the Outreach Manager and Chelsea Arey, the Environmental Program Coordinator. They talk with us about the 86it campaign. Its purpose is to engage the community to address the roadside litter problem.

Chelsea and Bianca talk about the 86it pledge and how viewers can go about taking it and joining the litter-free movement.

They also share with us different initiatives Wake County Environmental Services has for people who wish to become involved.
